Within the large world of white wine, there’s this small but lovely pocket of wines that are known for their aromatics. Gewurztraminer that smells like peaches, Viognier that smells like lavender, and other varietals that go a bit unsung. You might assume that these wines have to be sweet, but there’s more to them than meets the nose. Let’s dive into these grapes to see and smell what makes them so special.
